Street View in Two Parts

My series, "Same Time, Same Place," investigates the feeling of something familiar--a sense that you've been somewhere before, in conversation with a certain person or in some place you know well. In my work, I look to the things that are familiar and so often taken for granted. In the everyday I see things happening--connections to people and places are important and emphasized. Whether it is a glance from a stranger who sees you, or reuniting with old friends, recognition is the root of it--meeting up with a feeling you've known for a long time.
These works, with others, were highlighted in a solo exhibition in 2015 at Sabor 44 Gallery in Stafford, CT.
